Tsunami Roll
inspired mostly by food and mahjong :P

this is basically a 3d doodle went color-kaplooee
3dsmax and vray, only about 16-18mins rendertime for each 2000x1500px master image (total of 9)
photoshop for minor softlight, color tweak, and crop-resize

jpeg compression kinda ruined the soft gradients so PNG lossless to the rescue!
but the drawback is: 18jpegs=4mb+, 18pngs=22mb+
so I divided it into 2 subs, one for 4:3 and the other for widescreen
I assume if you have widescreen, you won't use 4:3 walls and vice versa,
and it'll be so much less pain for the dial-up users to download

Definitely interesting. It would have probably been more interesting if it actually had the mahjongg characters on the bricks or some sort of detail, but then again it does have a plain flair already...

I had that idea too :D, but there would be too much going on with all the characters on the tiles, I like simple :)
(plus the tiles is a bit long for a mahjong tile)
