Pretty interesting to see how you make things work and that you make things simple (if you can call that "simple" O_o), even if the result looks perfect in any way.

It's impossible to do so with a loose (but still wonderful) sketch. The perspective is the hardest, even camera matching with a rough estimate of the face is friggin' M-I-3 with tom cruise kicking my ass. XD
so I just stay true to the silhouette of the whole piece. Even those four friggin trees on the back.
although looking back, there's a more than a few parts that I wanted to change
my favorite 'wtf' moment is definitely the radio-phone thing.
I just finished modeling the antenna and bending it to match the sketch on the background.
"(thinking) ok that looks about right... let's just see how the whole thing looke.. wtf?!.. it's friggin in the back... *insert dumbfounded ohnoes-look*"
(after five-seconds or so)
*burst out laughing 'til I literally have to pee*
"perfection can be your best friend and your worst enemy" hmm... can be my quote.
anyway, I'm happy if this helps you in any way.
I like making these 3d behind-the scenes bit, remember the taco? [link]
